Great spot and plenty of room!
This was our first time to Punta Cana, and will not be the last. We will stay at this location again--it was located perfect, where you can walk to everything. Having a driver pick you up at the airport, and take you back a week later. Amazing property, with a private beach, two pools and a gorgeous walk to the beach. Need to work a bit on the beach bar, but hey you have to improve somewhere. Excellent value!!!!  Stayed: October 2015

Playa Turquesa Condo, Second Visit
The Owners and their local representatives could not be more accessible, friendly and accommodating. Every question we had was answered quickly and efficiently. We had help with airport transportation, entertainment and dining recommendations and always a smiling face to come help us if there was a need. The condo is spotless and fresh, it is fully stocked with everything you would have in your own home. Bottled water was full upon our arrival. The staff helped us with the keys, house and property guidelines and were a wealth of resources about local excursions, shopping recommendations and dining suggestions. The bathrooms and bedrooms are very clean , with freshly changed linens and towels. There is cable and AC in every room as well as WIFI. They even provide a local cell phone to make everything a bit easier for the guest. Security in the development is very unobtrusive but always visible and aware of what is going on. They make everyone feel safe day and night. The grounds and beach are beautifully maintained, seaweed is cleaned from the beach by a tractor and the new beach bar was great! This is our second trip to this same unit in two years. We will be back next year! Stayed: September 2015

Fabulous!
This condo has everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home. The location was perfect. We used the public transportation on many days to take us to the Palma Real shopping mall and grocery store and also to the Bavaro Plaza, where you need to be ready to bargain! With no one in our group able to speak Spanish, we managed with no problem. The people of the Dominican are soooo beautiful, kind and friendly. The beaches are amazing, especially Playa Macao. The restaurants, markets and bars within walking distance (very short walking distance) and the fresh fruit smoothie stand right outside the Playa Turquesa gates were all fantastic. Then after a long day of sun, excursions and the pool.......... climbing into one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in at the condo. Thank you Rebecca! We had a fantastic adventure and most surely would do it again.  Stayed: July 2015

great location and very family friendly
had a very enjoyable stay, great apartment, very clean, the onsite managers were a hidden bonus as they gave us a lot of insight in to the area and helped navigate all the offers and deals for trips. Having a cell phone we could call to get in touch with them was a genius idea!  Stayed: July 2015

Home away from Home!!
We absolutely LOVED everything about this condo. It was very comfy and it felt like home once we settled in. Very clean and spacious, pool is a couple steps from your door. Everything is within walking distance and by far, beats staying at an all-inclusive resort. Felt very safe with around the clock security up front. Gayla was the point of contact once we got there, and she has an amazing personality. Makes you feel like you've known her forever. She'll let you know about the food in the area. If you are a sushi lover, you must try Segundo's Sushi rolls. Gayla will let you know how to contact him. He will deliver it right to your door. So far, the best sushi we've ever tried w/the chef's special sauce. Also a great place to bring your kids if you have any. We noticed the closets in the condo were equipped with baskets full of toys so kids could enjoy some pool fun! We will definitely come back to Rebecca's condo for future vacations!!  Stayed: July 2015

Another great stay!!
We arrived back to stay at Rebecca's condo for the second time and once again everything was perfect. The entire rental process was seamless and working with Rebecca is always amazing. She provides a ton of useful information about the condo, points of interest, activities and restaurants in the area which was very helpful. We did arrange for the airport pick up and drop off and that really worked out well. The driver arrived on time and was very accommodating getting us to and from the condo. Once at the condo we were introduced to the property manager Gayla, who was equally as accommodating as Rebecca and was there to answer to any questions we had. The condo is perfectly equipped with all the amenities you require, super clean and comfy all around. The location is absolutely perfect, everything you require is within walking distance. The grounds and beach are immaculate. I really can't say enough great things about this condo, as second time renters I can assure that you will not be disappointed!! Thank you again to Rebecca, Gayla and the entire team for another amazing stay!  Stayed: March 2015

Great spot for a family getaway
Our family of four (with two teenagers) had a fabulous vacation at Playa Turquesa. The location is perfect - a gorgeous private beach at the complex, a large selection of high quality restaurants within walking distance, and groceries, pharmacy, etc. close-by as well. One recommendation is to rent a car and drive up to Macao beach - it's a surfing beach with bigger waves. Really fun with teenagers in particular. Rebecca (the owner) and Galya (the onsite manager) were both really helpful and a pleasure to deal with.  Stayed: March 2015

The BEST choice for fun and relaxation in Punta Cana
Without a doubt, renting Rebecca's condo was the best decision we made. We immediately felt at home, with all the amenities, space and cleanliness you would expect. The beds were extremely comfortable, plus plenty of hot water, towels, even the TV had New York stations. The kitchen lacked for nothing, and the grill out back worked perfectly and is nicer than the one I have at home. I loved that the pool was so close to our back door! And the pools stay open until 9PM, which allowed us to swim under the full moon, truly a memorable experience. Most resorts close their pools by 6pm, so we felt lucky. The ocean is a short stroll down a beautifully tended path. There are always gardeners about making things perfect. The ocean-front pergola has plenty of shade and chairs, security is there 24/7 and always offered a friendly "Hola!". Everyday we were able to snag two loungers with pads under a group of palms that offered the perfect amount of shade. The sand never gets hot, and the breeze is gentle and cool. Sitting there, with a cold Presidente, looking out over the clear turquoise water was a dream come true. The definition of relaxation. It was clear when we took our beach walks that we hit the jackpot with this condo. Not only was the beach nicer, cleaner and quieter, but there were no vendors hassling us. If one came up, security made himself known. If we wanted to buy, it was fine, but if we weren't interested, security just waved him on. We saw all manner of high-pressure sales on our walks, and were so happy to return to Playa Turquesa for peace and quiet. We spent many hours laying under the swaying palms and watching the ocean. The ocean was calm and warm - and we enjoyed swimming. When we were hungry and didn't want to move very far, there is food service right at the pergola. Citrus restaurant, in plaza turquesa, serves their full menu ocean-side. They have a staff member right there to take your order, so we enjoyed wraps and burgers in our swimsuits - then went right back to doing nothing. On arrival we were met by Gayla, who was waiting for us even though our flight had been delayed. What a sweetheart she is, showing us around, giving us tips, she even cracked open a 4 month old bottle of homemade mamajuana intended for someone else. She got us water, and basically made us feel welcome and comfortable. Job well done! Can't say enough good things about the people & location - but this condo was the highlight. We didn't want to leave.  Stayed: October 2014

Great place for a relaxing getaway!
My family (all adults) and I had the good fortune to stay in Rebecca's condo for 4 days over Labor Day weekend and could not have been happier. The condo is clean and comfortable. The pool is steps away from the patio and the beach is just a bit farther from there. We were conveniently located near multiple restaurants, bars and a small, but perfectly adequate grocery store. And Lana took great care of us while we were there - setting us up with a great zip-lining company, rum tasting, and cave tour. The only thing I would change for my next trip is to rent a car, and be able to explore outside Bavaro a bit more.  Stayed: August 2014

Very Comfortable Condo in Attractive Playa Turquesa
My wife and I stayed in this property for 2 weeks. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for. We were pleasently surprised to find the condo supplied with everything you could possibly need. Large patio with BBQ was a plus. Easy access to pools/beach. Nice restaurants a few steps away. Owner and property manager were both very helpful and responsive. Great choice for a stay in the Punta Cana/Bavaro area. Stayed: July 2014

Relaxing, comfortable and quiet spot
When my family came to the Dominican Republic I wanted to take them to Bavaro/Punta Cana. When I saw this place in the Playa Turquesa complex I thought I would give it a try. It was a very nice and relaxing spot inside a complex with great security and friendly people. The rental process was easy and the renter helped my parents arrange for transportation from the airport. The Facilities are beautiful and clean as is the private beach. Restaurants and shopping are easily accessible. I would highly recommend this place to stay. Stayed: April 2014

Fabulous Condo
This condo is exactly as presented, if not better. We stayed at Playa Turquesa for 10 days and had a wonderful relaxing time. You can't ask for a better location, close to the private beach and pools as well as shops and restaurants! No need for a car if you stay here absolutely everything you need is within walking distance. The condo is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay, both bedrooms are a great size and the beds are very comfortable. Rebecca, the condo owner, was awesome to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Would highly recommend asking for Lana for an airport pick up, for an extra $10 she stopped at the Super Pola on our way to condo to do grocery shopping and she takes extra time to show you around area and recommends the restaurants you don't want to miss out on, very helpful!! Thanks again Rebecca and Lana, we will be back next year for sure.  Stayed: March 2014

Great place for a relaxing vacation!
Had an amazing time in Playa Turquesa! The photos, on this site, do not do this condo justice. Our family of 4 fit very comfortably in this clean, well-appointed space. The kids loved it's close proximity to the pool, beach and the bakery across the street, and adults loved the easy walks to restaurants, shopping and night-life. Rebecca, the owner gave a detailed map and descriptions of the area's attractions, and everything was easy to find. We thought that there was lots to do on the beautiful beach for all ages including; para-sailing, banana boating, fishing charters and kite surfing, but we had the most fun relaxing at the swim-up bar and playing in the paddling pools with our kids. I would absolutely recommend this property to my friends and family.  Stayed: February 2014

Would love to return
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The complex is situated right on the beach and the condo is near the back of the complex. This makes it ideally situated -- only a minute or two to the beach and only a minute or two to the grocery store, restaurants and a fabulous bakery. Grounds are very well maintained and security is obvious without being intrusive. The condo is a nice size and has pretty much everything you would be looking for while on holiday. Beds, sofas, etc. were all comfy. The patio has sunscreens which we never put down as we liked the breeze blowing across the patio. We found it wasn’t necessary to run the air-conditioning all the time -- it was nice to have the windows open. There are 2 full pools with lots of loungers. In the two weeks we were there, we never saw more than a dozen or so people around the pools. Lots of loungers on the beach as well. For meals, we either ate out (there are likely a dozen restaurants within a 10 minute walk), picked something up at the bakery or Chicketta Bonita’s (gelato and sandwich shop also serves a North American breakfast), or ate in. There are fruit and veggie trucks on the street almost all the time. Our tip for future visitors is to make a trip to Universal on your first day and order your beer, wine, etc. Their prices are the best we found and they deliver. Universal is on the side street where Gladys’ restaurant is.  Stayed: January 2014

Another Wonderful Stay
Our family returned to this condo for a second time and had another wonderful stay. Rebecca the owner arranged for our pick up at the airport and was always on hand for information before our trip. Playa Turquesa is really well located, very secure and the grounds are very well maintained - probably the best that we've seen in this area. The condo is very spacious so when we were inside we could all do our own thing in different rooms without disrupting each another. Everything is very comfortable and the facilities are good. A real bonus is the pool is right outside so you can step straight off the patio and into the water, which was especially great for our kids. There are ample sun loungers available both around the pool areas and the beach and we never had a problem when we needed one. We ate out most of the time and there are several convenient and very reasonably priced restaurants and bars in the area and a couple more look set to open just around the corner 0ffering even more options. There's also a bakery, pharmacy, supermarket and, of course, Bonnie's ice cream parlour right across the street. There's also a fresh fruit and veg truck which stops outside the gate each evening and you can get fresh fish and lobster from the locals on the beach. Just a word of warning - few places accept credit cards so cash is your best option, but you can pay in most places in either US dollars, Euro or DR pesos. English isn't widely spoken in the area but you can easily get by with the help from the lovely people you'll meet. This year we made the trip to Catalina Island which was a full day trip including a good snorkelling session, lunch on the beach and drinks all in. Good value and one which we'd recommend. We'd also planned to visit the Serenis water park but couldn't make it this time, but we heard this was great fun. All in all a fabulous holiday with lots of flexibility which is much more preferable than the AI options which are prevalent along this coast. We're planning to return again next year.  Stayed: August 2013

Beautiful Condo in Playa Turquesa
My family and I had a great time enjoying Bavaro and the beach, The condo is located in the perfect area and it has great security. The apartment is gorgeous and well equipped. It has central air & it was very clean & hospitable. There are two swiiming pools and 2 children pools which is great for those who can not swim. The staff was very pleasant. I would recommend this apt for families with children.  Stayed: July 2013

A Great Stay at Playa Turquesa!
Stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The well-appointed condo is beautiful and clean. Furniture and fixtures are all in excellent condition. Beds extremely comfortable. Large patio with room for dining and lounging. Grounds and pools were kept in immaculate condition. Playa Turquesa has the best stretch of beach for miles...full sun (with a pergola if you want shade), more than enough lounge chairs and pads, water was gorgeous! Excellent restaurants within walking distance. Can't wait to come back next year!Stayed: February 2013

Great vacation spot.
We were in the condo for a week in January 2013. This was my first time having this type of vacation and it turned out to be the most relaxing week of vacation ever. The condo was exactly as advertised: very well equipped and appointed, very comfortable, cozy, and convenient to everything. The photos were a very accurate reflection of what we got. What a treat to step off the deck, and walk to a pool in under a minute. Very well manicured grounds, easy walk to a gorgeous white sand beach, lots of available shopping, a variety of restaurants (Danny's, Ama, Citrus, Jellyfish, Acqua) with every level of cuisine, tons of readily available local fresh fruit, and little or no pressure from vendors on the beach. The staff was extremely helpful, and security present but low key. I felt safe and comfortable. Never before have I had so much time to relax, read, and be a human solar panel on the beach. While I have little to compare this condo with as this was my first Southern vacation, I can't imagine a better condo to rent for location, amenities, cleanliness, and price.  Stayed: January 2013

Great Place to Enjoy Punta Cana
We rented this apartment for our parents’ stay in Punta Cana over the Christmas holidays. It felt like a home away form home. The apartment is extremely well kept and equipped. The direct access to the beautiful gardens and beachfront are extremely convenient. Turquesa stands as the best private residential development in Bavaro. We did not find a beachfront area better maintained that the one at Turquesa.  Stayed: December 2012

Wonderful Stay
Our family had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The apartment itself is very well equipped and comfortable and being on the ground floor meant there was fabulous access to the pool for us, and in paticular, our children.Playa Turquesa is in a lovely and secure setting, and is very well located for restaurants, bars and local amenitites. A couple of tips which you may find helpful is that there is very little English spoken in the area but DONT let that put you off - the people are really kind and helpful and you also get a chance to learn a little Spanish too. Few shops locally take credit cards so take cash which you can easily change to Peso or withdraw cash from ATM which are local too. DONT take travellers cheques as you won't be able to cash them. Booking this apartment with Rebecca was very straightforward and easy, and an on site maintenance and management service is available should you have questions or problems while you are there. Don't hesitate in booking this as an alternative to the AI options - you won't regret it.

Playa Turquesa Bavaro Beach
We had a great time at this condo. It wasn't too long from the airport. Rebecca set up a driver for us and he was easy to find. Rebecca answered all our questions prior to arrival. The unit was on the first floor and you could just step out to the pool. It was a nice size and kept up nice. The kitchen was well equiped and we would have made more dinners but wanted to try the island fare. It was very cool and had good breezes, so we only ran the AC at night in the bedrms. It was conviently located across the street from a wonderful French bakery (with wifi) and a nice grocery store. Don't go to the little grocery store by the laundermat, it looked rundown. The one by the Pet shop had fresh fruit and meat every day. We ate at Gladys, Captain Cooks, Aqua Club, Sole's and Danny's. We even had pizza delivered one night. John, Jay and Lana (in the office) were very helpful. Lana booked tours for us and took my kids to the surfing beach(Macao) one day. Our pools were quiet only a few families. Our beach front was nice and clean. The only negative was that the unit was on the end by the entrance and the noise from the bar (kareokee, reggae night) was very loud, even with the windows closed. So if you don't join them, you can't sleep. This happened 4 nights. The main road was also closer so you heard the traffic at times alot. It was very secure. We didn't have a car and didn't need it. You can take the shuttle for $1 (bopu) to the shopping malls. We walked down the beach to all our restaurants. Some people had problems with mosquetos, but they weren't bothering us. I would surely recommend this complex to anyone coming to Punta Cana.  Stayed: March 2012

I spent the month of January at this condo. It was fabulous. The condo is spacious and in very good condition. It's well equipped with all of the comforts of home. It's situated right by the pool which is really nice. There is a nice grocery store and a bakery right across the road. There are several good restaurants in the immediate area. Our favorites were Outside In, Balicana and Sole Beach Restaurant. The condo is in a gated community with a property manager on site. Of course the beach is beautiful too with nice lounges and chair pads. This was our second stay there and we would definately book it again. Stayed: December 2011

Great Girl's Weekend
Arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a 4 day stay. The advertisement matched the description of the property. John, the property manager, met us with the key and gave us a great tour of the property and surrounding area. The condo was fully equipped with everything necessary for a long vacation: first aid supplies, laundry supplies, movies, magazines, books, full kitchen and bath essentials, etc. All you need to buy is food/drink for your trip. Just replenish anything you use that was already provided in the condo. This is the first time we've tried a VRBO and will always pick it over a hotel for our girl's trip from now on. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay close to many options for food and entertainment, this is it.  Stayed: October 2011

Wish we were still there!!
We stayed at this wonderful condo for four nights. The condo was easy to get to, clean, and beautiful. Parking is very close to the condo which is nice. The kitchen was well stocked. Be advised that the oven temperature is listed in Celsius degrees and not Farenheit degrees. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. The location is great and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. There were more than enough towels and linens. Wifi worked great inside the condo and outside too. The owner was extremely accommodating in answering all our questions prior to arrival. Our deposit was refunded right away after our departure. It was a great place to stay and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip.  Stayed: August 2011

Wonderful vacation!
The condo was nicer than I expected. Spent a month there with my 4 children. Very safe and secure.Nice little shopping are across the street, with a small supermarket, pharmacy, even a pet store. Beautiful beach area, a little piece of paradise. We had almost all of the outdoor space to ourselves, due to the fact there are many empty condos. Wonderful for me, but the children would have liked some children to play with. Very easy dealing with owners, and onsite manager (John). We look forward to going back!  Stayed: April 2011

We stayed 3 weeks.
Linens and bedding are wonderful. Well equipped with even beach toys for the kids. Grounds are very well manicured. Everything is very clean and safe. Everyone is very helpful and tries to help when when we struggled with Spanish. Taking the guagua to Friusa and the shopping center is fun and only $1.00. The grocery store at San Juan Plaza will match any in the US. Fresh squeezed orange juice is worth a special trip. We were not able to use our ATM debit card at the local Progressive Bank facility. Only the Scotia Bank and another with 3 initials, can't remember, would accept our card. Scotia Bank only gives a max of 10,000 in a day. The other bank will give 20,000. We would not recommend snorkeling with Global Divers to the left up the beach. They told us what they thought we wanted to hear, took our money, and then did what they wanted with our trip. It was not what we had requested and had been told was available. We loved Balicana and D'Angelos restaurants. There is much more available than at first meets the eye. Restaurants are not marked well. A wonderful fruit and vegetable truck comes by each day and try the fruit market around the corner to the right...across from Glady's Restaurant. Take a walk to the far point to the left as far as you can see from the beach in front of the condo. It takes 90 minutes with white sand all the way. We hope to return! Stayed: March 2011

Private Condo
Myself and another couple recently stayed here, and were very happy with the accommodations. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. The ground floor condo was great to walk out to the pool, or continue out to the beach. We visited the grocery store and Danny's across the street, and food and service at both were great. I hope to increase my vocabulary a bit if I come back again. I could have used a wider variety to get my point across at times. It was very nice to have a beach that was quieter than most, as we were there during spring break.  Stayed: February 2011

Wonderful time at Playa Turquesa
I have just returned to Canada after two months at this condo in Punta Cana. My husband and I arrived on Dec. 21 to a beautiful, clean and very comfortable condo. We found the condo to be well equipped and after speaking with other tenants discovered that the furnishings in our condo were much more comfortable than in some of the others. During my stay at Playa Turquesa several improvements were made, new padded lounge chairs were added to the two pools and the beach area. A very nice pool bar was opened with a great bartender, Ignacio, who will take orders on the beach and at the second pool and deliver your drinks. For groceries, Ciccolello's directly across the road from the condo development, had all the necessities and a very good meat counter. Wines, rum and beer were usually well stocked and fresh fruits and veggies were available. There is also a wonderful "New York Bakery" with the best croissants and donuts as well as delicious coffee. Also there is Danny's Bar which is the place to go for Karaoke on Wed. night, say hello to Lana! During my two months another grocery store opened at the San Juan Plaza, a couple of miles from the condo. Very easy to catch a bus to this plaza and the grocery store is very good. We discovered many very good restaurants that appeal to a wide range of tastes. For Christmas eve we went to Chez Mon Ami for a fixed price dinner which included five courses and was excellent. New Year's eve we attended another fixed price dinner at Jellyfish which was wonderful, My husband had the seafood platter which included lobster, shrimp, scallops and was more than he could eat. I had a wonderful fillet mignon with a blue cheese sauce, however, the best thing on the menu, which I went back for twice more was the "tempura battered lobster salad," wonderful! After a few weeks at the condo I made many friends and along with them discovered more great restaurants, One of our favourites was Bali Cana for very good Asian/Thai, lovely ambiance and great service from Luis. Two new restaurants opened very close to Playa Turquesa, Rincon Magico, very convenient for night time walking with very good food and lovely owners Rosanna and Jimmy. Really enjoyed the dorado with orange sauce and the Moussaka. Lastly " Outside In" was absolutely one of the best, very small and cosy, with delicious food. Had a wonderful time at Playa Turquesa and must thank Deloris for all her help during my stay there. Looking forward to returning!  Stayed: December 2010

Perfect Location, beautiful resort.
Stayed at this unit for 2 weeks in Jan 2011. As this is a new development everything was great, clean and well looked after. This unit is on the ground floor so you just walked off your patio and right to the pools or down to the beautiful beach. There is 24 hour security at both the front gate and the beach access. The unit is located close to the lobby which allows for internet access on the patio so you didn't have to go to the lobby to connect. There are many restaurants within walking distance and we never felt unsafe at any time of day or night. We found some really great spots either right on the beach or hidden back some path, just ask around everyone has a favourite and there are plenty to choose from. There's also a good grocery store and a great bakery just a two minute walk across the road from the condo. If you have never been to Punta Cana then the beach will blow you away, one of the best in the caribbean. The beach area is clean and spacious with plenty of chairs and bar service. Pools were clean and warm with one pool bar, lots of chairs availible. The unit itself is very well equipped and spacious. There are flat screen TV's in both bedrooms and the living room. Ample closet space. Washer and dryer.Nice kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Certainly everything you need is there. We really enjoyed eating and sitting out on the large patio. We will defineately be returning to this unit again next year.  Stayed: January 2011
